Fancy a cosy evening out at an Indian restaurant in the centre of Utrecht? Restaurant Taste of India is located in an atmospheric wharf cellar on the famous Oudegracht canal in the heart of the city. Our restaurant is tastefully decorated in Oriental style with warm colours and gold tones, immersing you in a wondrous, distant world.
Delicious smells of freshly prepared curries will drift towards you from the open kitchen as soon as you walk towards your table. Our menu is as diverse as India, with dishes from North and South Indian cuisine. Chefs Rakesh and Deepak are more than happy to take you on a culinary tour of their homeland.
Taste authentic Indian classics like butter chicken, dhal and lamb tikka masala, or be surprised by lesser-known dishes such as chicken lababdar. We happily welcome you to Taste of India, an Indian restaurant in the centre of Utrecht.

Are you a passionate chef who wants to surprise guests with quality and taste? Then we are looking for you!
You will join an international team where English is the official language. Our chefs will teach you the tricks of the trade; how to make naan breads, tandoori dishes and curries.
Job description (in short):
- Preparatory work
- Compliance with hygiene rules and guidelines (HACCP)
- Inventory and ordering management
- Tidying and cleaning tasks
- Providing technical guidance to support staff
- Improvement proposals and optimization
Your profile (in short):
- MBO 3 working and thinking level
- You have demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
We offer you a gross salary in accordance with the Horeca CAO (Collective Labor Agreement), a unique working place, a friendly team with great colleagues and free staff meals during working hours.
